Birding walks

Birding walks

As well as the PIOs, there are other ways to see birds and visit the areas that support them across the Miajadas-Trujillo district: routes and walks. Before the design of the PIOs, five suggested routes were published, designed by the birder Martin Kelsey. After the design of the PIOs, 12 birding walks have been published by the ADICOMT team. These have been updated slightly in order to use them as an additional tool to enhance one’s enjoyment of birding on days out in our territory. With the PIOs and the help of these routes and walks, ADICOMT aims to show the potential for birding in Miajadas-Trujillo to those who travel without a local guide (although we always recommend contacting local guides to get the very best experience of the territory and its birds).
